About

Updated November 23, 2012

My name is Jennifer (of course it is, I was born in the early seventies).

This is my personal website.

I am a marketing gal, writer and mother of two (plus 2 fish and 2 anole lizards). Sweetie boy is getting close to 10, Blondie is 7.  I was a stay-at-home mom for quite a few years and now I’m back at work in a job I love.

I always have more going on than I can successfully handle, and I don’t think I will ever break that cycle, it’s just who I am.

I love to write.

I love my daughter’s crazy outfits of fringey boots, football jerseys, anything that sparkles, and her signature mismatched socks. She has the best laugh in the universe. And when she got her ears pierced last year it was one of the best displays of bravery I’ve seen in quite a long time. And she also has the best rosy cheeks ever.

I love that my son is as big a Star Wars fan as my husband and my house is littered with Star Wars ships and 5 (going on 6) billion Star Wars legos. He has multiple homemade short feature films in the can already (I get credit as cameramom). I plan to send them to George Lucas at some point. This kid has mad movie making skills. He is also wears his heart on his sleeve. He is very in tune with people around him. It will serve him well in life.

I spend a fair amount of time bargain shopping for clothes and accessories (shoes, shoes shoes). I have a “bag of bags” (with a decent collection of vintage evening bags that were all under $5). You can borrow one any time you like.

I teach fun dance fitness classes to mom and kids now too, so I get to dance beyond my living room now and that’s been a huge treat for me. I’m over 40 now. Inhabitions are getting left at the door at this point. Life is your dance floor. Own it.

I have a percolator that I adore. If you come to my house sometime, I will offer you coffee. But I also know most of the names of the coffee prep staff at Dunkin Donuts AND Starbucks in my town.

You get the idea.

I hope HeyGirl has made you laugh, inspires you to do something for yourself, or sparks an idea. And if you have read something on these pages that really speaks to you…I’d love to know about it.

Enjoy!

Forever your HeyGirl,

J
